Rules, Terms, and Conditions:

• Entry locations must be within a 35 mile radius of downtown Valparaiso.
• The homeowner must provide proof of homeowners insurance, and release MTN from any damage or liability that may occur during the styling process.
• A $25 entry fee must be submitted with your entry. All of these proceeds will go to Spring Valley Shelter in Valparaiso. See entry form.
• The homeowner will submit digital photos of all views of the room. If they do not have access to digital, printed photos can be mailed to us, though photos will not be returned.
• The homeowner will allow MTN to take photos and video during the process, and gives full release to MTN to use the story and photos as they see fit. They can remain anonymous if they prefer. Additionally, they will grant interviews to the press if asked.
• The homeowner will provide overall dimensions of the room with their entry.
• The room must be structurally sound. Though recommendations may be made as to some structural changes that could improve your space.
• Our Stylists are not painters, though they may recommend paint color(s).
• Our stylists are not a cleaning crew! The homeowner will be expected to provide any cleaning needed throughout the process. Stylists will clean up any mess created from drilling into wood or walls in order to hang artwork or drapery rods, etc.
• The homeowner must have some furnishings and accessories to work with.
• The homeowner must be open to change, and willing to cooperate in a timely manner to facilitate completion of the project on schedule. This may include a list of tasks for the homeowner to accomplish after the initial meeting, before the completion of the project. This list may include, but not be limited to any of the following: Painting, removing certain pieces, repairing certain pieces, acquiring certain pieces (not major purchases), cleaning, etc.
• On the Big Day, the homeowner agrees to leave the premises while the transformation takes place.
• If the homeowner chooses to make any purchases from MTN, they will receive 30% off suggested purchases (unless they are on consignment) for a period of two months after the completion of the styling process.
• The homeowner will allow MTN to bring in pieces for the final photos, even if they do not plan to purchase them. Those pieces will be removed right after the photos have been taken.
• MTN will use the same care and workmanship for this project that they always do.
• Entries must be postmarked by April 30, 2010. All entries will be reviewed and narrowed down to three to five finalists who will be interviewed to determine the winner.
